Scholarship for Poor Children and children affected by parents as PLHIV/AIDS Project are implemented in Battambang, Pailin, Oddor Meanchey, Siem Reap, Kampong Thom and Preah Vihear. BFD supports 600 children, including Kuoy minority in Preah Vihear, from primary school through high school and university. All students receive uniforms, school kits, and pocket money, and some receive seed funds for their families to do business. In addition to their classes, students attend morality sessions, and children’s rights are promoted.
This project has run since 1993, and is supported by Enfants du Mekong of France and Terre des Hommes Netherlands.
